Showmar Photography

 I specialize in women, maternity, newborn, baby, child, teen and family fine art photography. I am dedicated to creating candid, natural and elegant images.   My goal is to create images that evoke emotion.  I consider myself more than just a photographer, I am an artist. I take the time to get to know my subjects, understand who they are and what they're looking for.

I have found that a person's beauty is a combination of physical appearance and their inner soul. A good photographer will make the effort to capture that inner beauty and to accomplish that,  will bond with their subject. Once that connection is accomplished, the image will radiate with all that is captured, ultimately resulting in a gorgeous work of art. 

When I'm photographing infants and children, I am careful not to push them.  It is important to me to make the experience relaxing and enjoyable, particularly when working with children.  I consider myself "laid back" and I take that approach when working with my subjects. 

I studied photography at Central Florida College and I am a certified Microsoft Engineer with 20+ years of experience in the computer field.  My extensive technical experience and my education and experience in photography have enabled me explore and develop my artistic talents through the camera's lens and digital enhancements.

I volunteer for the Progress Energy Art Gallery in New Port Richey, Florida  and enjoy promoting other artists by sharing information and providing new venues and opportunities as they arise.  I believe that all new artists deserve an opportunity to have their work presented to the public and enjoy sharing that experience with them.

I have learned in life that time is short and the only way to make it last is through the art of photography.   So, with my camera in hand, I'm out to capture brief glimpses of my life and the things I love
