Each year, hundreds of children in Pinellas and Pasco foster homes risk reaching adulthood without finding permanent adoptive families. Removed from their biological parents due to abuse or neglect, these children are legally free for adoption and truly belong to our community. But what they want most of all is to be part of one family…their special “forever” family.
The mission of the Heart Gallery of Pinellas & Pasco is to provide an emotionally safe way to connect children with families through a traveling exhibit featuring the faces and stories of local foster children ready for adoption.
I volunteered to photograph children for this project.
